The Big Mac
Of all of McDonald’s burgers, the Big Mac is certainly the most recognisable. This signature McDonald’s burger was first introduced in 1968 and hasn’t changed much since.
It features two beef patties, the signature Big Mac Sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions and is served on a sesame seed bun. The Big Mac is notable for its middle bun that divides the two beef patties; this feature helps to add the distinct appearance that the Big Mac is famous for.
Quarter Pounder with Cheese
One of the biggest burgers available at McDonald’s and another iconic burger in its own, the Quarter Pounder with Cheese features a 4.25 oz beef patty. This is served with a combo of ketchup and mustard, as well as toppings including onions pickles, and two slices of cheese.
McDonalds Hamburger and Cheeseburger
The McDonald’s hamburger and cheeseburger options remain massively popular to this day, and can be considered the quintessential McDonald’s burger. A standard beef patty (1.6oz) is topped with ketchup, mustard, diced onion, and dill pickles, and in the case of the cheeseburger a slice of American cheese.
Double cheeseburgers are also available, adding a second patty to the burger, and some locations allow for the addition of bacon too. You may even find the odd McDonald’s serving triple cheeseburgers!
